Image resizing made easy

So you’ve got a new listing, and you take a dozen or so photos for the property owner. You have your digital camera set to it’s highest resolution. But this creates very large images — too large to upload to your MLS or to use in some of your marketing materials. And the images don’t need any other editing other than the resizing. There is a great little free utility called Photo Magician. Simply install this program to do fast “batch” resizing of large groups of photos quickly and easily.

Point and Resize

Just put all of your photos in a folder on your hard drive, and launch Photo Magician. Give it a few pieces of information it needs, such as what size you want the photos scaled to, where it should save the new resized images (the original images are left intact unless you explicitly select to overwrite them). It even comes with presets for a variety of common image sizes.

If you don’t need to do any editing of your photos other than resizing, give Photo  Magician a try. It’s fast, easy, and the images it produces are pretty good quality.

  1. Hello! This is kind of off topic but I need some guidance from an established blog. Is it difficult to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast. I’m thinking about setting up my own but I’m not sure where to begin. Do you have any points or suggestions? Appreciate it

    1. There are many things you need to consider: what platform? (wordpress, etc.), your audience, your niche and keywords! First find a blog that is simple to start/setup then think about your audience…put together a list of keywords and think about your niche market (buyers, sellers, rentals, reo’s etc.) From that you should be able to put together some posts to build your blog up. Then think about your lead capture – are you directly or indirectly selling your services? Directly you should have some sort of contact or sign up form through your blog; indirectly, usually comes through personal contact. Hope this helps!
