Statewide MLS’s – Franchises vs. Independently Owned Offices

Arizona is only a step away from creating a statewide MLS in 2011. This may sound like a great idea to some but in my opinion this would favor the business of large firms or franchises instead of the smaller, individually owned offices. And how helpful or efficient would MLS support be?

What do you think? Would you be apart of a statewide MLS or do you think you would get less exposure due to the amount of listings in that MLS versus a more local MLS?

  1. Nothing but advantages from what I have seen in the states that have done so … Maine is a shining example of how well it can work and level the playing field for all participants.
